My goal as a therapist and a coach (theracoach) is to help individuals, couples, and families break dysfunctional belief patterns, limiting beliefs, generational dysfunction, and unproductive mental stumbling blocks. These things impede positive growth and contribution to your lives and society and the purpose God has seeded in you. I do this by journeying with clients in discovering how thoughts, external influences, and behaviors influence their lives. Hello! I am so glad you stopped by to visit my profile. Let me tell you a bit about myself. My name is Takelia Jackson. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. I hold a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health from Mercer University. My role as a therapist is to guide, support, and actively listen. My approach to therapy draws from person centered, behavior, psychodynamic, cognitive, and faith-based counseling.

Many of the clients I work with are striving to cultivate better relationships with the people around them or with themselves. Moving through life is like a book. We are all in the process of composing our own stories. Sometimes we get stuck, due to choices, events or behaviors. This causes anxiety and depression. It’s like a bookmark getting stuck in the pages of our story and as we try to move forward, the pages fall open to that bookmarked, painful memory.

April Barnes is an LPC, LMFT, NCC, MS, RPT. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Counseling, May 2009, from Shorter University. She earned a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at Walden University in February 2015. She has also completed coursework to obtain an Marriage and Family Licensure. She became a Licensed Professional Associate Counselor in July of 2015. She later became a fully Licensed Professional counselor in September of 2018 and a Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor in December of 2018.

Dr. Hoskins is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and the founder of PEACE. She is a two time graduate from Georgia State University and also graduated from Walden University with her PhD in clinical social work with an expertise in forensics. She has held positions as forensic liaison in Fulton County, GA, social work supervisor, clinical director, volunteer coordinator, veterans department director, and professor at Walden University.

I am deeply committed to supporting adolescents and adults as they navigate the complexities of anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, and relationships. My mission is to guide my clients towards forging new, positive pathways and cultivating a sense of safety within themselves and in their interactions with others, ultimately enabling them to embrace their true selves with freedom and authenticity. Central to my practice is the creation of a nurturing, non-judgmental environment where clients feel secure to explore their vulnerabilities.
