My graduate studies resulted in degrees in Christian Counseling and Clinical Psychology.
Hello, I am Kristia. I am happy that you stopped by and hopefully this will be the beginning (or continuation) of your journey to heal, grow, and thrive. I have been happily serving as a therapist for over 25 years and I would not change a thing; this is what I called to do and never considered a "plan B." Being a therapist was my dream and focus since I was 10 years old. You will find me to be nonjudgmental, personable, easy to talk to, and appropriately humorous as we work toward your goals. By the way, I offer Psychotherapy, and Christian Counseling.

Yes, it is crazy “out there” and sometimes the “crazy” within makes it difficult to discern where one ends and the other begins. “It’s overwhelming, I don’t know why…It wasn’t always like this.” “I find myself frozen in the middle of it all wondering where I fit in, what’s it all about?” “Why am I here?” “I don’t know who I am.” Let’s talk…using a variety of therapeutic approaches together we can move through and process the events, situations, experiences, etc. that have you immobilized. I believe in treating the whole person and employing different therapeutic modalities based on what aligns with you and your needs.

"Can you imagine life returning to a state of emotional wellness, or waking up feeling happy for no particular reason?" Don't lose hope! Beyond the pain is emotional freedom. Emotional pain can present as unbearable and never ending. A constant state of chaos can give rise to depression and anxiety; Feeling lonely as if nobody cares. You might wonder if life is worth living. Your emotional state makes it difficult to anticipate a brighter future. You may feel powerless and hopeless about life. You may feel numb and empty. Most of my referrals are word of mouth and my professional services will help to restore hope for the future.

With nearly 30 years of experience, I firmly believe that the client is the most powerful force in their own lives. With a confidential and accepting environment, I aspire to aid individuals on their journey of self-growth and always guide them in the direction of "True North". I desire to assist them in addressing the feelings and problems that often seem out of their control. I utilize my emotional intelligence and intuitiveness to join the journey of others and increase their fortitude to navigate through difficult challenges together. I believe that a therapeutic alliance tailored for each individual drives the momentum necessary to enhance their level of empowerment which recharges, reconnects, and reclaims their perception of happiness. We are entitled to enjoy the abundance of life and that is unlimited and determined by our terms. It is our choices that directs our path to an unapologetic abundant life.

Hello! My name is Kishla Preston and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia, Alabama and Florida. I have been practicing for the past 9 years and have loved every moment of it. I have had the heart to help others since the age of 10. So much so, that, in high school, I ended up taking custody of the 2-month-old child of a family friend until he was age 2, while his mother gained stability. That be said, I have a special place in my heart for children, young adults and mothers. My personal goal for every client I meet is to make their lives a little bit better than it was before we found one another.
