Hello! I am located in Atlanta, Georgia, but provide telehealth in MD, VA, FL, WV, & NC. I specialize in working with children, teens, families, and adult individuals who have difficulty with anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, or have experienced trauma. I have extensive experience supporting the adoption triad, and LGBTQ+ kids, families, and individuals. Rather than have a “one size fits all” perspective, I use a blend of treatment approaches to meet each client’s individual needs including play therapy, mindfulness and body-based work, CBT, ERP, EMDR, attachment and trauma-informed approaches.

Yes, it is crazy “out there” and sometimes the “crazy” within makes it difficult to discern where one ends and the other begins. “It’s overwhelming, I don’t know why…It wasn’t always like this.” “I find myself frozen in the middle of it all wondering where I fit in, what’s it all about?” “Why am I here?” “I don’t know who I am.” Let’s talk…using a variety of therapeutic approaches together we can move through and process the events, situations, experiences, etc. that have you immobilized. I believe in treating the whole person and employing different therapeutic modalities based on what aligns with you and your needs.

My approach is simple. I see my role as a partner in a process that is the pursuit of healing and restoration. While I have certain professional expertise, every client is an expert about his/her/their own life. I am intentionally client-centered, strengths based and trauma-informed. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as my primary means of intervention which includes an eclectic blend of Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Humanistic and other modalities. Assigned homework is common and clients participate in the development of activities that support clearly identified treatment plan goals.

My therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Do you live with emotional trauma, physical trauma, chronic illness or chronic pain? Are you tired of feeling like your life is out of control?
I understand how difficult it can be to live with emotional trauma, physical trauma, chronic illness and chronic pain. Life is not happening the way that you planned. You may be frozen in physical and emotional pain. The pain is not gone even when there is no evidence that it should still be there and you worry how you will show up in your own life if the pain lasts forever. Maybe you can't stop thinking about the thing that happened, no matter how hard you try.

Our approach is client centered, and grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Traditional Talk Therapy, Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Conflict Resolution, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Chances are if you've landed here, it's not been on accident or mishap. I'm sure you are contemplating or considering therapy. Maybe your mind is settled and you'd like to proceed. I can tell you firsthand that therapy is a very rewarding investment. I can also tell you that therapy isn't very easy - it requires intention, transparency, and willingness. It requires talking about some uncomfortable "stuff". No, I don't expect you to come air out your dirty laundry or tell me your deepest darkest secrets. However, I would like for you to show up ready and willing to grow, change, and begin your healing.

I utilize several treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral, Strengths Based, Dialectical Behavioral, and Solution Focused perspectives to identify the needs of clients, establish goals, and reach outcomes.
Sometimes individuals struggle with managing daily life challenges, stress, depression, parenting woes, difficult relationships, self-esteem, mental health, family problems and many other issues that come with life. When you're suffering, it's natural to want to talk to someone about your problems.
