I am a licensed professional counselor with over 30 years experience. I have a Master's in Marriage and Family Counseling. I am a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) and I am certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C). I use EMDR for trauma. I use CBT most of the time. Sometimes I use an eclectic approach.

There is nothing quite like a safe space to just be and heal. I would love to provide that for you as we unpack challenges such as stress management, anxiety, depression, relationship matters, parenthood, the peri-natal journey (conception, pregnancy, child loss, childbirth, postpartum, etc.), trauma, and life and career transitions, among others. As a first-generation Nigerian-American, I am especially passionate about holding space for those who identify as immigrants, children of immigrants and undocumented citizens to work through the often complex acculturation experiences and unique stresses they may face.

I believe that children may not always have the words to express what is going on in their world. As a therapist to children and teens, I can help build self-esteem, increase their coping and emotional regulation skills, decrease anxious behaviors, & nurture their creativity. I can provide support in helping children build resilience and strengthen their relationships with others by facilitating communication through play and expressive arts therapy. I use art, music, play, and modeling to promote emotional growth and learning throughout our sessions together. I provide a safe space for everyone who walks through my door.

Here for the "I DON'T KNOW's." So many patients & their families come into my office and say, "I just don't know what's going on with me/my loved one." And for me, that's a great place to start! It's my job, using assessments and up-to-date testing equipment to answer that question. I feel that it is difficult to know HOW to treat something if you don't know WHAT you are treating. Mental Health diagnoses often overlap and are confusing. Testing and therapy helps answer the "I don't know's". I do ALL of my own testing to limit errors and provide extremely comprehensive services for you and your loved ones.

With over 33 years of personal recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, I specialize in recovery from substance use disorders, pornography addiction, sexual/intimacy issues, self-image/gender, anxiety, and depression. Individual or relationship counseling available.

Traumatic events could include any experience a person perceived as threatening. My therapeutic modality is using a combination of Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Internal Relationship Focusing (IRF). Hannah has a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and has been a Licensed Therapist since 2014. She has worked in a variety of settings with several populations. Her first experience in this field was working in long-term residential treatment for individuals struggling with severe and persistent mental illness. Since that time, she has worked in an inpatient psychiatric facility, residential programs, intensive outpatient agencies, and an outpatient clinic.
