I'm Aneesah Landry, a licensed professional counseling in the state of Georgia. I mostly provide therapy based on the needs of the client. It is my goal to tailor the sessions to fit your desired goals in order to relieve or reduce the burden you may be feeling. I work with a variety of clients, but the majority of my clients suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, or relationship issues. I am comfortable treating a variety of issues, but I love an opportunity to consult with you in order to see if I will be able to assist you.

I am committed to providing high quality mental health and substance abuse services to individuals, couples and DOT employees in safety sensitive positions. My goal is to provide clients with individual treatment needed to successfully learn how to cope with difficult life transitions and emotions. I provide therapy services for a range of issues including depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, relationship issues, job related stressors, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, gender identity, etc. I also conduct SAP assessments and follow up recommendations.

I am a Professional Counselor with more than seven years of experience in mental health and substance use disorders. Specialty license in Rehabilitation Counseling with emphasis on physical disabilities, vocational services, career counseling and developmental disorders are available. Case management services and psychosocial rehabilitation counseling is provided. Life skills training is available. Support groups are offered for Parenting, Mood disorders, Substance Abuse, Emotional and Behavioral issues, and Post-Partum Depression.

Valissa as a clinician works with a diverse group of patients challenged with relationship, parenting, anxiety, grief, stress, work/career related, and family issues. Valissa has been a certified telehealth clinician for 14+ years and a certified early intervention specialist who provides treatment for children and families with Special Needs. Valissa is an author of the children book titled “Just One of Those Days With Mama” focused on improving mental health. Valissa is also a wedding officiant in the State of Georgia.

Well, where do I began...I have been working in this field for over 13, years consistently. I have had the pleasure of being trained by amazing people in three different settings to include residential, nonprofit, and community based. I have been working with children as young as 4, years of age, to adulthood. For the past few years I have been working with children who have been victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking as well as LGBTTQQIAAP, teens and adults over the past few years. Helping others has always been my passion, so I made it my business to provide quality services to assist others in their time of need.

As a therapist, my goal is to empower individuals and families to make the changes required to resolve and overcome issues that impede their ability to live fulfilling and joyful lives. My educational background in clinical mental health counseling and theology is the basis for my holistic approach to wellness. The scope of my experience ranges across multiple spectrums including but not limited to: the Juvenile Justice System, drug court, father advocacy, and the local school system. I encourage my clients to be accountable for their decisions, learn from their mistakes and celebrate their successes.
