ABowens Drug & Alcohol Counseling is a practice dedicated to providing drug and alcohol use services to individuals and families confronted with misuse, abuse, and addiction disorders in the state of Nebraska and Georgia. My practice is unique in that I, too, recover from the disease of addiction, and recently celebrated 24 years of sobriety after once losing everything except my life. I am a level II Certified Addiction Counselor (CACII) with more than ten years experience serving adolescents, young adults, and adults. I'm a board-certified addiction medicine and family medicine physician with a master's in counseling/therapy. I offer MAT/medications for addiction treatment (suboxone/buprenorphine-naloxone, naltrexone, Chantix etc), harm reduction counseling, motivational interviewing, and addiction-related CBT. I also manage co-occurring psychiatric conditions (anxiety, depression, PTSD) and the medical complications of addiction (liver damage, heart failure, cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome etc). I see patients with problems using any substance including alcohol, opioids, vaping/tobacco, marijuana/cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine etc.
