During this time of increased stress, counseling is often a valuable source of support. Providing assistance to children, teens, and adults with special needs and their families is the focus of my practice. Beginning as a learning disabilities teacher, and then transitioning to clinical psychology, I have over 25 years of experience. My practice combines a solid foundation in traditional psychotherapy with specialized interventions for individuals with special needs. Intervention is based on the individual's unique strengths and needs, drawing from a variety of treatment models. Trauma-informed care tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities is a particular focus. Clients of all cultures, ethnicities, sexual orientations, sexual identities, and religious backgrounds are welcome.
Neuropsychology-based assessment services are available regarding a wide range of developmental concerns, including learning disabilities, developmental delay, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and intellectual disability, as well as related complex social-emotional concerns.
