Hello! I've worked in mental health for 30 years. I have helped children and adolescents to change negative behavior patterns to improve social functioning. I've helped adults with various challenges to be successful in treatment. I've been a therapist for 7 years. My work and therapy experiences are such that I've seen/experienced or assisted many through some very difficult times. My goal will always be to empower, support, assist and help others to identify and overcome the barriers that they feel are standing in their path to a happier, healthier view of themselves and how they view others and the world around them.
The Model of Counseling that I prefer to use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT helps you think, behave, and react differently to triggering situations. I like CBT because it requires a partnership and active participation from all parties.
We will work together to identify and overcome the barriers that make it difficult for change to occur.
