I am a psychologist trained in clinical and forensic psychology. My training and experience have allowed me to develop clinical expertise in treatment modalities that are evidence based, such as CBT and ACT. I also have extensive training in the assessment of psychological concerns including diagnostic clarification and personality functioning.

My name is JacQue’ Timberlake (I prefer to be called Jay. I received my bachelor’s degree at Pittsburg State University in 2015. I received my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Webster University in 2019. I am also currently achieving a doctorate in Forensic Psychology at Walden University.

I treat clients that have general mental health issues. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who need help with depression, anxiety, career, anger, and loss. I partner with attorneys and the court system to perform assessments for legal proceedings. I work with personal injury attorneys, family attorneys, and criminal attorneys. I partner with immigration attorneys to perform mental health assessments for clients seeking "extreme psychological hardship", alylum, U-Visa, or VAWA waiver.

My educational background includes an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and an M.A. in Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am focused on providing compassionate and effective therapy tailored to each individual's needs. As a provider of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), I offer evidence-based approaches to address behavioral, anxiety, mood, and trauma-related disorders. I am committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment for clients of all ages.

I am a board certified forensic psychologist, and my psychology practice focuses on evaluation and consultation. I conduct forensic psychological evaluations for the courts in both criminal and civil matters on issues including competency to stand trial, capacity to waive Miranda rights, criminal responsibility ("insanity") and other mental health defenses, risk assessment, mitigation, personal injury, disability claims, fitness for duty, diagnostic clarification, and malingering/response styles. I DO NOT conduct child custody evaluations or other evaluations for family court.

As Soren Kierkegaard says, “Life is not a problem to be solved but a reality to be experienced.” I have years of training in forensic psychology and counseling techniques dealing with adolescents, adults, individuals, couples, and marriage and family counseling. My specialization includes group therapy in areas of intimacy and addiction. I am specialized in dealing with moderate and more serious mental health issues especially anxiety, impulsivity, and depression.

I maintains a private practice in both Dallas and Austin working with adolescence through adult populations. I work both in intensive psychodynamic psychotherapy as well as marriage and family therapy. My practice also includes forensic psychology. I consult and testify in civil and criminal matters for both the plaintiff/prosecution and defense. I serve as an independent medical evaluator, performing disability evaluations on veterans with disability claims, including mental disability, post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury.

Everyone is capable of resolving their own issues, but there are times when doing it all by yourself leads to a feedback loop of missed opportunities and unfortunate mistakes. Dr. Nicole Rae Grandjean is a neuropsychologist who specializes in the differential diagnosis of psychiatric and neurocognitive disorders. She obtained her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from The University of North Texas in 2004. Dr. Grandjean evaluates people with neurocognitive disorders stemming from traumatic brain injury, toxic exposure, stroke, Parkinson's, and dementia. As a clinical psychologist, she specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Her psychotherapy practice focuses on treating PTSD from rape, combat, catastrophic events, assault and childhood sexual/physical abuse.
