Change happens. We do not always know how to adapt, but an important part of being human is accepting that we are all life long learners. It is okay to relearn how to cope, how to see ourselves, and how to interact with others. Help me help you learn how to adjust to an everchanging world by looking at your patterns in relationships, discussing parts of you that need attention, and figuring out how to build on your strengths.

Are you your own worst critic? When you are hard on yourself, it becomes challenging to find joy in your work and relationships. Finally putting an end to beating yourself up will free up energy for you to fulfill your goals. I use mindfulness and IFS (Internal Family Systems) strategies to help clients do deep and meaningful work in sessions. "I learned a long time ago the wisest thing I can do is be on my own side..." -Maya Angelou When my clients begin to truly be a friend to themselves, they notice positive changes in many aspects of their lives.

I have specialized training in working with pre and post op bariatric surgery patients. I have specialized programs for binge eaters, bulimics and anorexics as well and trauma and sexual abuse for the last 40+ years. This work has been my passion since I was over 450 pounds when I was younger and with the help of special therapists was able to lose over 250 pounds and managed to keep that weight off all these years. I was also sexually abused as a young child which led to the onset of my eating disorder.

Welcome! I am glad you are here, making yourself a priority. I know it was not an easy decision to get here today but I am proud of you for doing so. Has negative self-talk and worries led you to self-sabotage and/or prevented you from unlocking infinite potential? Are some days so overwhelming that you fantasize about giving up? Have you concluded this is a fight you have to go alone? If you are seeking a deeper level of self-awareness, personal and career growth, freedom from unhealthy relationships, and/or a desire to overcome irrational beliefs leading to imposter syndrome then you have landed in the right place.

Are you experiencing distress after trauma? Do you lose time or feel disjointed internally? Do you have flashbacks or don't understand why you feel the way you do? I specialize in working with complex trauma and dissociation, including DID. I am experienced in EMDR Levels I and II. My work has been influenced by various models, including IFS, an engaging ego state approach. I regularly integrate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills into the challenge of this work, which has proven to be a very effective combination. Additionally, I am Level I and Level II trained in using the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy.

You are wanting to feel better. Something in your life is not working very well for you at this point, and you would like to figure out how to improve things so you can live a satisfying and fulfilling life (or at least one that doesn't feel so darn hard all the time). Therapy is a great support for you in that process.

To others it may seem like you've got it all together, but on the inside you're spinning out of control. Panic randomly punches you in the chest, taking your breath away, and you can't focus on anything else other than how to make it stop. You are consumed by trying to keep up with everyone else since they seem to have it all together, but you can barely function through the day. You feel like an awful mom because you are lashing out on your kids and hating the daily monotony instead of "embracing the joy of motherhood." You feel like you are failing your partner because somewhere along this journey you just lost yourself.

I would love to talk with you about how we can work together! I will support you during sessions so that you better understand how you experience life, resulting in feeling more comfortable as you approach challenges. I work with adults, teens, and children. I have spent my career learning how to find the best approach that feels right for each person. For adults this often includes getting to know yourself better with increased compassion. For children, I support learning new ways to reduce childhood stressors and acting out behaviors, often through play. This results in positive feelings between parents and their children.

As my reviews show, I am here to help and usually can! Using heightened intuition, meditation and counseling skills, my gift is seeing through and beneath appearances to the core of your Soul issues and conflicts and those of others. In just one session, we can quickly get to the "bottom line" and treat the sources of your problem/s. We will then discuss approaches to take in your life which will ease you onto a healthier path. We can develop your own inner spiritual compass to benefit yourself and your loved ones. "God helps those who help themselves" and "Seek and ye shall find!"
