I am a licensed and PsyPact approved clinical psychologist who strives to create a warm, non-judgmental environment for individuals seeking help with challenging emotions, thoughts, behaviors and life situations. I help my clients to navigate these difficulties by utilizing evidenced based therapies while also thoughtfully tailoring my treatment towards to the unique needs of each person. I treat individuals who have mood and anxiety based disorders, eating disorders, post-traumtic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trichotillomania (hair-pulling disorder) and personality disorders.

My approach involves genuine caring and acceptance, in a non-judgmental atmosphere, as well as utilizing evidence-based techniques. I choose counseling techniques that are unique to each individual's needs and empower them to be a part of their process of positive change.

When I imagine the “ideal client” I do not see a specific person. I see is someone who desires change and is willing to put in the work to attain it. I imagine someone who is willing to be vulnerable, open-minded, and trusting of the therapeutic process. This person understands that there will be hurdles along the way, but they recognize that they do not have to face those hurdles alone. It is my responsibility as a therapist to create an environment where all my clients feel safe, comfortable, and understood. I hope to get the chance to help those who allow me to do so.

“I’m not sure why I just shared all of that with you” is a comment I have heard many times in my life and is one of the reasons I chose mental health counseling as a profession. When someone is hurting and senses they are in the presence of another who is truly curious about and accepting of them, they feel seen and understood. This is where healing takes place.

I completed internship and post doctoral training in Health Psychology at The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. I completed an additional postdoc in psychodynamic/psychoanalytic insight oriented psychotherapy and am a Board member wit the Southeast Florida Association for Psychoanalytic Psychology (SEFAPP). I have experience with a broad range of mental health difficulties and have specialized in multiple treatment approaches in order to provide optimal treatment and care.
