The issues within my clients vary upon what they are attempting to resolve; such as; feeling overwhelmed by circumstances that they may not have much control over and wanting to learn healthier coping mechanism and strategies that support their individual path in life. It is my belief that my clients want inner peace and freedom from anxiety, depression, pain or addiction. From Covid Isolation syndrome to dealing with identity, race or cultural issues, the spectrum of concerns that are within my skill set with over two decades of experience, is what I offer, treating each person with an individualized plan specific to their needs.

We seem to be living in very stressful and difficult times, struggling with the COVID pandemic, economic turmoil, rising criminality, and national and global instability. If you are feeling anxious, depressed, worried about the future, dissatisfied with yourself, your relationships, and your work, know that you are not alone. Let me help you view 'each hardship as a pathway to peace' and make the changes you need to make, instead of repeating the past and recreating the same unwelcome reality, over and over. Why is it so difficult to change? The answer is simple but not easy. In order to change, we must let go of our painful past.

I help individuals and couples change their habits, patterns, and perspective in order to lead a more satisfying life. In addition to treating depression, anxiety, and addiction, I specialize in working with people facing midlife transitions--divorce, parenting challenges, career change, empty nest, grief. I don't just sit and listen; I actively engage you in the therapeutic process to make the concrete changes you desire in your life.I tailor therapy to the individual rather than "one size fits all", and also offer hypnotherapy. I can also help with issues around sexual harassment or abuse.

Life can be tough, and at times we are faced with difficult decisions. I know trusting someone with your pain may be challenging, but I am committed to walk with you through your adversity. I believe you have a divine calling on your life, a specific role to play, but pain and suffering has distorted your identity. If you are struggling to find meaning in your life, often to the point of hopelessness, I would love the opportunity to SpeakLife over you. I am passionate about seeing people walk in the freedom they deserve.

Achieving goals becomes easier when they’re meaningful and connected to a reason and purpose — your “why.” When you connect your goal to a “why” a few things happen: You become hyper-focused on the goal by eliminating distractions or other tasks that are not in alignment with your desired outcome. Your vision and ideas become easier to outline, understand, and communicate because you’re intentionally focusing on the reason you want to do something and how it will impact you. It becomes easier to decide what you should and should not be doing because your priorities are connected to a purpose.

I do really well-reaching clients who have anxiety and depression. I also do well with college-aged clients and young mothers, 20/30-year-old women, and I can empathize with mothers/parents very well, as I am married with a 3-year-old son. My ideal client is motivated to participate in the therapeutic process and has some insight into their problem & what they feel they need to do to solve it. They don't expect me to have all the answers and understand that we will partner together to achieve their goals- but that they are the ones who have to be motivated to create change.

I provide counseling by incorporating both intuitively driven work as well as Psychodynamic and Evidence Based modalities. Infused within the work is the encouraged reconnection to both the soul and the natural world. I believe that during the healing process from all types of trauma we can learn/relearn the feeling of joy as well as experience post traumatic growth.

If there is one thing we all have in common, it's a desire for connection. Loneliness, isolation, being different culturally or otherwise, trauma, loss- these are experiences that can lead to disconnection.

I work with individuals from all walks of life who are experiencing the heart breaking effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, or addiction of any kind. The unrelenting emotional pain and suffering of a debilitating mental health issue can alter your life. It can keep you from achieving your goals and desires. I hope to be able to help you identify, process, and grow through your difficulties to begin to live a full and happy life, regardless of your circumstances. It can be done! There is hope and a light at the end of the tunnel.

Do you tend to put other people’s needs before your own? Are you great at helping others but have difficulty consistently doing things for yourself? Are you going through a life transition and looking for support to navigate these uncharted waters? These questions are just some of what we can unpack together in therapy. I utilize a holistic, trauma-informed, and relational-based therapeutic framework when connecting how patterns from your past are impacting your present circumstances. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space to help you live a more fulfilled, mindful, and present life.
