Hi and thank you for being here! As humans, our brains are so resilient that with the right support and tools, we have the power transform ourselves. Trauma and difficulties in important relationships can shape the way we view ourselves and the world around us. Yet, when we have a safe environment to step back and look over these beliefs and experiences, we can decide for ourselves what patterns we want to hold onto and which we want to make new.

I've realized during my time practicing as a Mental Health Counselor, the immediate need for someone to listen! I empathize with individuals who want to be heard and understood. One common issue that stands out during my therapy session is difficulties communicating and listening among peers and family. I hear my client's say how difficult it has been for them to express and explain their perspectives to others and not feel heard. During these difficult times all we need is someone to listen without judgment.

Do you feel held back, stuck, or pinned down by anxiety, depression, guilt and shame, relationship issues, or disconnection from yourself and others? Your struggles may have less to do with something you're doing wrong and more to do with impacts of trauma from your past, whether mild or severe, recent or distant. Sometimes it's not that we're not good enough or strong enough, but that our brains were deeply changed by trauma at pivotal moments in our lives. Mental health struggles due to trauma are much more common than you think, and the keys to breaking free can be found by exploring your life story in counseling.

Is your child struggling with academic work and/or cannot focus due to hyperactivity behaviors that affect their learning? Is your child displaying social/emotional difficulties that affect their interactions with peers and adults? Or, is your child an overachiever and a leader that is motivated to learn new things no matter how challenging it can be? Overcoming these obstacles or maximizing your child's potential is not easy, and being able to provide them with the proper support is KEY. A Psycho-Educational Evaluation can help answer many of your questions and provide your child with a plan to address his needs or strengths.

If you are seeking therapy for the very first time you may be wary, not know what to look for in a therapist or how therapy works and what to expect from it. I can reassure and educate you about the process and our relationship. If you previously have been in therapy and are experiencing a re-occurring issue, a new development in your life or may be in crisis, you may also worry about connecting with your new therapist and having to start anew. I can offer a supportive, encouraging and exploratory process to help either of you feel comfortable enough to work on yourself and achieve your goals.

Life is hard enough all on its own. It's even harder when you're using all your energy to fight off things like anxiety or depression. The space it takes up in your head is unreal. You do a good job of appearing to have it together but inside your head it's LOUD. Whether the problem is excessive worry, or doubt, it's always there, lurking, waiting to sabotage a decent day. It makes you snap at people and you don't even know why. Maybe it shows up as anger, irritability, social isolation- however it happens it's not doing anything good for you. It interferes with life overall. Living like this is exhausting and unnecessary.

In life, we encounter a diverse array of experiences, not all of which are positive. It's during the most challenging moments—marked by grief, pain, anxiety, and sadness—that we undergo profound growth and self-discovery. These testing times serve as invaluable lessons, shaping us into resilient individuals. I believe that true growth occurs when we embrace these moments, motivated and prepared to take the necessary steps forward. Are you ready to embark on your journey of personal transformation today?
