I have over 25 years of experience in clinical therapy. I did my training in Caracas, Venezuela, where I obtained 2 degrees from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, I was summa cum laude and valedictorian in both careers: Psychology and Sociology, then I completed a 3 year postgraduate specialization in Clinical Psychology at "Centro de Salud Mental del Este, El Peñon" a teaching Psychiatric Hospital, where I also was summa cum laude. Both my dissertations where based on the Rorschach (the ink blot test). I have been practicing psychotherapy in the United States since 2002, as a LMHC.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist working in the field for over 20 years primarily doing psychotherapy with older teens and adults of all ages. I view psychotherapy as a collaborative journey that the therapist and client go on together. One that requires curiosity, self-exploration, attunement, and mutual regard. Choosing a therapist that feels like a good fit is critical to a good outcome so I typically begin by speaking to prospective clients on the phone allowing you to share what you are looking for while allowing you to ask any initial questions you may have about me or the therapeutic process.

I work frequently with survivors of trauma and abuse, including those who are in or recovering from high-control relationships. Those suffering from anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and difficulties adjusting can find a safe place to heal in my office. I have a rich understanding of the complex nature of PTSD. I am a certified Christian counselor, a practicing Catholic, and will work with all denominations to explore any spiritual concerns. I love helping people become the person they are called to be!
