Hello for and thank you for taking the time to view my profile. Excited to say I am currently accepting clients! I offer compassionate, heart-and-soul-centered, nonjudgmental, supportive, strengths-based therapy in the comfort of your own home via telehealth. I work with teens, kids, families, parents, individuals and couples. I am trained at Simmons College and Harvard Medical School. You deserve the BEST! I became a therapist because I LOVE PEOPLE and I want to support you becoming the person you always wanted to be. I am not adverse to walking through tough stuff and lingering issues from the past and present that need healing.

Dr. Pamela Baker, Licensed Psychologist, earned her Bachelors Degree (B.A.) from the University of Miami with a major in Psychology and double minor in Sociology and French. She went on to earn her Masters Degree (M.S) and Doctoral Degree (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Baker currently works with a diverse population of individuals including children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Baker’s main theoretical orientation is based on Carl Roger’s Humanistic Person-Centered counseling approach.

I have helped hundreds of people deal with life's challenges including conflict and relationships issues with partners, children, friends, coworkers etc., with their own internal issues such as anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, commitment and attachment problems and with life transitions such as parenthood, divorce, and death.

My ideal client is someone that knows that they require some sort of assistance and are looking for guidance. They may have issues related to depression, to difficulty in peer relationships, and/or issues related to health and happiness. They want to feel better and are eager to receive help. They want to see more productive ways to deal with life and life issues. They are eager for change and are eager to accept new ways to deal with their clinical issues.

I focus on careful assessment and helping those in need of clinical services using a variety of evidenced based approaches. In my practice, I use a variety of treatment modalities such as individual, couple, group, and family therapy depending on individual needs. I have much experience working with psychiatric and behavioral problems such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, depression, trauma-related disorders and so on. Teaching individuals how to manage and cope with symptoms of grief, marital problems, family conflict, divorce, parenting issues, and other relational problems are additional areas of specialty.

Life is a balance of holding on and letting go. We all experience times in our lives when we feel a bit out of balance. Whether it's in our relationships, work life, or general well-being, balance is essential for fulfillment and happiness. Anxiety, depression, anger, conflict, stress and other self-defeating issues create imbalances. Therapy helps to restore, and many times creates, the balance that is needed in all of our lives.

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Motherhood is hard. You do it all with love and selflessness, but it's too much to handle on your own at this point. You need to slow down but motherhood never stops-always something to be done. You are ready to delegate some tasks but don’t know how to ask for help. Oh and the mental load! You are ready to take a break but don’t have the support you need. Others expect you to take care of it all and your inner voice expects nothing less than perfect– leaving you depleted and anxious, feeling isolated. And then there is the pain of motherhood not being what you envisioned. and it’s bringing all these feelings to the surface!
