I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and an Accelerated Resolution Therapist. I am also EDIT™ Certified I Eating Disorder Treatment Clinician working with teens and adults. In the beginning of my counseling career, I served individuals in the substance abuse population where I worked with women, men, adolescents, and young adults suffering from drug addiction. Fast forward to today, I continue the practice of my past experiences and I specialize in working with individuals who have trauma (PTSD, C-PTSD), anxiety, SUD, depression, life transitions, LGBTQ+, (especially trans individuals), sex issues, and couples/marital issues.

At times, life can feel challenging, and having someone to talk to can make all the difference. Both children and adults may face these difficulties and sometimes need an extra voice to guide them. I have been a military spouse for over twenty years and have a lot of knowledge of the deployment process and how military life affects the whole family. I also have twenty years experience in the addiction, mental health and counseling field. I believe that every individual has it within themselves to overcome the majority of their struggles, they just need some help. My job as a therapist is to foster this healing process. I will not tell you what you must do, but I will assist you in finding the solution for yourself. I am qualified as a SAP to complete the SAP evaluations for Department of Transportation.

As someone who has experienced and overcome many challenges in my life, I am able to bring a personal dynamic to my counseling practice. I enjoy working with men to deprogram societal expectations that cause harm, helping them find their true selves beneath cultural conditioning.

My ideal patient is one that is suffering from trauma, anxiety, or depression and possibly using alcohol and drugs to self-medicate but not necessarily. Their goal would be to live a free and healthy life that does not include substances, negative behaviors, or toxic relationships.

In life, we ​​all go through difficult moments where we need to reinvent ourselves. Life’s circumstances often force us to question our self-esteem, confidence, and what we think of ourselves. Understanding how we feel is not an easy task, sometimes we get confused, and we may know something needs to change but don’t know how to do it.
