I received my Ph.D. In Clinical Health Psychology from Yeshiva University, Bronx, NY and then obtained a two-year Fellowship with Dr. Albert Ellis at the Albert Ellis Institute in NYC. My research interest while completing my Ph.D. dissertation, had to do with geriatrics and specifically Alzheimer's Disease and this led me to working in The Departments of Rehabilitation Medicine at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx and then at Staten Island University Hospital. To me that implies that I can pick and choose my client's problems, symptoms, relationships, and so forth, and it's that same individuality and variety of people and presenting concerns that I value. I wouldn't change that if I could. I meet a lot of people who don't really know what they need or cannot visualize/verbalize their true goals. Discovery can be a part of the therapeutic process.
