Seeking help and allowing someone into our innermost thoughts, feelings, failures, hopes, and dreams can be one the most frightening endeavors we embark on. Having an environment where you feel heard, respected, and validated, that is affirming, and nonjudgmental is essential. As your therapist, my primary goal is that you understand your worth, know your value, and appreciate the love you have to offer to yourself and others.

I love my profession! I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 25 years and work with adults and adolescents, inspiring hope while developing critical coping tools. I provide individual therapy and take a strength based approach as I believe everyone can grow and change. I specialize in treatment for depression, anxiety, major life changes, self-esteem building, trauma and grief. I am very knowledgeable about mental health diagnosis' however I concentrate less on the actual diagnosis because a mental illness does not define who you are. I am here to help guide you to a happy and healthy place in your life

Have you ever felt like no one understands what you are going through? That you are alone on this road called life and not really sure where it is taking you? You may feel “weak” if you seek therapy, but let me tell you that is the complete opposite of what you are. By you finding help you are proving to yourself that you are stronger than what you think. As you take this big step in your journey it can bring a lot of nerves and excitement at the same time. It is not easy to find a stranger to talk about your feelings with. I want to be the person who will fill your cup up when you need it the most.

Everyone goes through difficulties in life that cause intense emotional pain. Perhaps you're feeling utterly torn apart through the hardships that life brings and want a safe space of healing. One of the most difficult tragedies is losing someone you love.

At certain times in our lives, we all need a little help. A nonjudgmental and caring person to listen and walk alongside us through difficult times can be an agent for positive change in our lives. As your counselor, I aim to help you find wellness and peace of mind. Working together, we can discover barriers to your wellness and develop a plan to help you meet your goals. My approaches are cognitive-behavioral, Gottman couples counseling, career counseling, and solution-focused counseling. Whether your struggles involve depression, anxiety, relationships, grief, career, or something else, I believe there is always hope.

Should you stay or should you go? No other question carries this much weight; it's almost suffocating. The pain of things remaining the same is just too much. But, the risks associated with making massive changes also paralyze you. I get it. There are reasons to work on the relationship, and there are reasons to close the door behind you. You've built a life together: kids, careers, investments. Life isn't so simple to end it all right now; life is complicated. You want confidence that the choice you're making is the right one for you and your family. After all, divorce is permanent. It's worth weighing your options.

I have been in Private Practice for over 25 years. My practice serves children, teens, adults and families in a comfortable setting. Most clients I see have the diagnosis of depression or anxiety. My way of treating this is to provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe if we can change the way we think about events in our life that we can find peace and balance. I have worked my entire career to find the most effective style of therapy, and received top training from Dr. Jeff Riggenbach, CBT Therapist and Dr. Patrick Cohn, top Sports Psychologist.

One of the major problems one can have is expecting perfection. What follows is loss of confidence, loss of focus, and later just giving up. I work with kids, teens and adults whom have the same issues of freezing up, worrying about what others think and having so much pressure they no longer enjoy their sport. It's because you lose focus and worry to much about making a mistake or embarrassing oneself or letting others down. If you have been feeling like your performance and motivation has declined then your mental game is likely in need of change.
