If you’re ready to take the next step toward self- acceptance and confidence, I’d love to talk with you.
Hi there, I'm Natalie. I specialize in working with women aged 18-30 who are struggling with self-image, anxiety, and feelings of inadequacy. If you’re seeking emotional support, validation, and a space to explore body image awareness, I’m here to help you embrace self-compassion and develop a healthier relationship with yourself. In our sessions, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address self-image and anxiety, alongside a body neutrality approach to promote health over appearance.

I utilize CBT, Acceptance and Commitment, talk therapy and a little bit of humor to help you be comfortable with your journey, identify goals, explore what is preventing you from your desired successes and empowering you to heal and reach that ideal life.
We often find ourselves focused on the day to day tasks of maintaining a healthy physical lifestyle, yet we often forget to make room for our mental and emotional wellness. We go through life taking hits and adjusting to "life's curveballs" but when do we take a step back and realize that we don't always have to take a hit? We can block or correct some of those things coming our way. My job is to help you realize your potential to be the best version of you, whatever that may look like. To heal those bumps and bruises of life. It's time to learn to love yourself and the life you live or learn to adjust to make it the life you want.

I utilize multiple treatment modalities including attachment theory, somatic work, ACT, CBT, mindfulness, practicing coping skills.
It's time. You've taken care of everyone and everything else, hoped the issues you struggle with would just disappear with time, but that hasn't happened. Change is often so hard to navigate alone. I believe in the power of coming together with purpose. For the last 15 years, I have worked with individuals and couples who've felt stuck for years because of a traumatic past, and have felt unworthy, anxious and depressed. I'm passionate about helping you finally work through what happened to you and the struggles you face today, so that you can honestly connect with yourself and others and pursue the life you want.

Your greatest pain offers the opportunity for the greatest growth. Do you wish you understood WHY you react to situations and people the way you do? Do you feel insecure, unfulfilled, lonely, misunderstood? Maybe you feel fine but you can't understand why others are so needy and want more than you can or want to give? There are reasons you act, think, feel, relate the way you do in life. Are you looking for insight into those reasons? Awareness is the first step to change and it is hard to get that insight on our own.

Whether or not this is your first time seeking out counseling, finding a therapist who "fits" can be a daunting experience. I understand that it can be difficult to ask for help. We all, however, need support and guidance sometimes. Clients often give the feedback that they feel accepted and secure in my warm, welcoming and intimate office setting. I am an experienced clinician who is nonjudgmental, approachable, a good listener, supportive, but also offers helpful feedback. Clients frequently say they feel a 'connection,' and can easily open up with even their most private concerns.

We all share a fundamental need to be seen, heard, and understood. Oftentimes, our pain becomes suffering when we struggle all alone in silence. An inner voice whispers the question: "What's wrong with me?" We're convinced that we are abnormal, unworthy, or broken. We seek false refuge in work, social media, food, sex, Netflix, etc. only to feel more emptiness and isolation. Growth requires that we become aware of the habitual thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that keep us stuck.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists

How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?

The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?

Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?

A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
