I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern and a Certified Trauma Professional. I have over 10 years post-Master's experience working with adolescents and adults in various settings such as schools, hospitals, and shelters. I currently work in private practice with ages 11 +. I can help with you or your adolescent with issues such as trauma recovery, stress/anxiety, depression, self-esteem, periods of transitions, and generally feeling “stuck”. I believe that you already have the answers you need within you. Let's work together to block out the unnecessary noise and ground yourself in your own innate wisdom.

She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where she obtained her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and specialist degree in Play Therapy.

I'm an LCSW and I have 10+ years of experience providing therapy to people who are feeling stuck, unheard, and/or trapped within our system of social norms and unrealistic expectations. I identify as queer and have worked with clients in all stages of recognizing their queerness. I also have experience working with those who have experienced trauma whether due to their sexuality, abusive relationships, upbringing, or otherwise.

My path to becoming a therapist was more of a calling than a career decision. I’m not particularly suited to this profession. I’m introverted, which causes me to present as somewhat unfriendly and aloof to strangers. I’m really not concerned with small talk or what I consider the superficialities of life. But when it comes to exploring the deepest, most difficult and painful core aspects of your life that’s the space where I feel most comfortable. The foundation of my practice is my own personal journey in 12-step recovery. I would say I was "chosen" for the gift of recovery from a self-destructive lifestyle more than 34 years ago.

Life can become very challenging at any given point and time in our lives. Depression, anxiety, anger/irritability, mood/behavioral changes, abuse of substances and exposure to trauma create fallacies that life will remain unmanageable for children and adults. In my 10+ years of experience, I recognize the strength in talking to someone about your challenges in order to begin the healing process. Are you struggling to manage your child's behavior?
