I provide supportive sessions, integrating trauma-focused and somatic approaches like EMDR, IFS and Mindfulness, for healing.
Are you feeling anxious? resentful? guilty? Do you have a hard time saying no? Maybe you feel frustrated with a loved one or coworker, or it seems that your efforts to help them are never enough. You may not be able to recall a time when things were better. But one thing is certain: you're ready to find some relief. You're ready to be free of these feelings and find some peace!

Some examples of approaches I use are CBT, Solution-focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Positive psychology, Christian & Catholic counseling, IFS, etc.
I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. My ideal client is focused on personal growth and healing. If you feel stressed, anxious, and scared, this is a great time to reach out and find support. If you are dealing with loss, a traumatic past, relationship issues, women's issues, or work stresses, let's work together to help you cope with life's stressors. My goal is to help you navigate challenges, make sense of your experiences, and find hope, joy, and healing.

In sessions we’ll use fancy techniques like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and more to take down some of the intensity of what you’ve been feeling so you can experience yourself as more grounded.
You are so done with having to drag yourself out of bed, drinking 10 cups of coffee just to feel something, and giving self-inflicted pep talks that don't friggin' work! Maybe your friends or family don't even notice and they think you're doing GREAT! In reality it’s a struggle keeping it together. You’re white knuckling it and somehow managing to save face. If you’ve made it here, you’re ready to work through what’s bothering you so that life can feel less painful. Whether you’re going through trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, or relationship issues you’re in the right place.

IFS (Internal Family Systems) in level 3.
The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are -Joseph Campbell. Together, we can really hone in on what it is you are wanting for yourself and finding a path forward, that best suites you. Often, the work is getting back in touch with your Self in a deeper way—like re-calibrating your inner compass. My understanding of counseling comes from holistic, somatic and trauma-informed approaches that incorporate mind, body, and soul such as Jungian, IFS and transpersonal. Sex therapy is also a very important part of the work I do. Check out my website blog to learn more details about how I work

It does not matter how overwhelming the problem is, healing and growth are always possible. We will work collaboratively by combining your knowledge of the situations you confront, with my professional experience in the healing process of counseling. You’ll see - the possibilities are remarkable.

With a dynamic team approach, our strength lies our professional diversity which allows us to treat even the most complex set of mental health, substance-use, trauma and life-change issues in a comprehensive and integrative manner. Just as no two individuals are the same, neither are two situations, despite obvious similarities. Paying close attention to individual differences, actually listening and respecting what our clients share with us, and creating unique goals and to meet each client's needs and challenges is what we do best. The most common feedback we hear from our clients is "feeling heard and still respected and loved."

I specialize in anxiety, panic attacks, depression, childhood trauma, attachment issues, and OCD. Life can be overwhelming sometimes. You’re searching for a therapist! So now is the time to reach out. I can meet you where you’re at. Whether you’re ready to dig in and start using the "tools" to improve your mental health and life. Or slowly open up, break down, and rebuild yourself. Taking the first step in your healing journey is inspiring, it may be tough at first, but my clients always say, "I wish I started therapy sooner". It’s my passion to help individuals and families heal from generational trauma and unhealthy attachments.

Stress and trauma patterns often represent themselves as disruptive, repetitive cycles of thoughts, emotions, and/or relational behaviors that an individual endures, These cycles may look like a thought loop that keeps you awake at night or prevents you from engaging socially. Perhaps it is instead, or also, a rush of overwhelming emotion (sadness, anger) at a social encounter that seems like it should not have carried that much weight. These patterns may also be experienced as repeating dynamics in friendships or partnerships (for example, "I keep dating people who do not seem to see my needs in the relational space").

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.
How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.
Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.
How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
