I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker with seven years of experience working with adolescents and adults with diverse backgrounds. I have experience working with children and families with a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral problems in different settings to include child welfare, crisis stabilization units, foster care, private adoptions, and in the school setting. My focus includes Anxiety, depression, trauma, perinatal mental health, behavioral problems, self-esteem, and anger. I am passionate about creating a safe therapeutic space for individuals to overcome their challenges and build positive coping mechanisms.

Our levels of care include prenatal preparation, traditional weekly outpatient visits and Florida's first Mother/Baby Partial Hospitalization Program (an intensive, outpatient day program). I am working with both adolescents and adults. My theoretical orientation to counseling and psychotherapy is rooted in the philosophy of a humanistic-existential approach to human functioning. I use the tenets of individual responsibility to choice and decision-making and apply them within a cognitive-behavioral perspective (CBT) to counseling and clinical work. I have experiencing working with children, adolescents, adults and families in regards to mental health issues, trauma, domestic violence, substance abuse, parenting, marital/family conflict, stress management, school issues, communication, self-esteem in a healthy way using a cognitive behavioral approach.
