Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I received my Masters from the Western Kentucky University and have been practicing for 10 years. I work with adolescents, young adults and families living with anxiety, depression, families issues and school issues.

Our primary purpose is to provide a safe, non-judgmental forum in order to reduce resistance where cognitive behavioral interventions, reviews, and appropriate behaviors can be implemented; to raise a coordinated community response toward prevention of relapse and/or recidivism; and to nurture solutions encompassed within the constructs of Choices, Chances, Changes programs. Facilitators will continue to learn and remain ever-educable in the field of mental health and substance abuse and the process of helping clients to extinguish old patterns by implementing new, appropriate skills. Victim empathy and safety will be fostered as well as change encouraged.

Welcome! I am glad you are here. I am Ashton, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida, and dually licensed in Virginia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I am also a Registered Play Therapist and qualified to supervise clinicians in Florida seeking licensure. My background consists of working in schools, communities, private practice, and non-profit sectors with children, teens, and young adults. My specialties include play therapy, where I can help children aged 5-12 reconcile what is going on in their world and offer strategies for coping with tough ordeals experienced within the family, school, or community.

I graduated from Troy University in 2019 as a Mental Health Counselor and subsequently obtained a State License in Florida, where I live and practice. I also have experience as a guidance counselor in schools, where I have worked addressing ADHD and behavioral challenges in children.
