I graduated from Troy University in 2019 as a Mental Health Counselor and subsequently obtained a State License in Florida, where I live and practice. I have experience working with adolescents and adults, addressing symptoms of depression, anxiety, addiction. I also have experience as a guidance counselor in schools, where I have worked addressing ADHD and behavioral challenges in children. Previously, I had worked in the media, where I realized that I wanted to help people to change their story, rather than to write it.

Hello, I am Crystal. It’s like you can’t escape your thoughts. Your mind keeps playing tricks on you… Questioning your every move… Comparing yourself to others non-stop. Day-to-day life has become overwhelming. Struggling to get out of bed every morning… Struggling to complete your daily tasks and chores… Struggling to leave the house or meet people. You doubt your abilities and question if you are good enough. Feeling the constant pressure of keeping up with work… Feeling the burden of being present and accountable at home… Feeling like all eyes are on you – all the time. Something has to change. You know that you need help.

As someone who has had struggles with mental health in the past and sought out help, I have complete understanding and respect for anyone reaching out for assistance. The desire to help others after I was able to overcome struggles is what led me to counseling. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been counseling for eight years now. I have worked with all ages, from children younger than five, to older children, teenagers, and adults.

Emotional supportive therapy in meeting my client's needs is paramount to their success. Not just listening to what they are saying, rather hearing what they are not saying to guide them in discovering their own needs. Working as a team to help them discern, process, embrace adversity and employ resiliency in the challenges they face. Guiding clients in an overcomer mindset, rather than being overcome. Teaching them how to be a human-being as opposed to a human-doing in order to find peace, harmony and balance in their whole being.
