Hi! I'm Dr. Alfaro Vela and I am devoted to working with individuals, couples, and families alike. I practice using a systemic approach, and aim to collaborate with my clients to build a picture of their preferred selves and future. I strive to take a step into my client's frame of reality to understand the challenges that they may be facing and offer new perspectives. Together, I work with clients to help them see what they would like to achieve, as well how they could possibly get there. My goal as a therapist is to provide clients with a safe space to explore their emotional horizon.

Sometimes the world feels like its spinning, then comes a moment of clarity & you say, "I want change". I help people build on that clarity to move them into and through their whirlwind to help make personal change real. The inner work of self-love, inner healing, integration, & personal transformation are the heart of my personal belief & professional practice. I bring these into my client's personal therapy work. When you make a decision to see a therapist you want to be seen soon. You want your call or inquiry responded to within a reasonable time. You want to trust that the therapist is licensed and has the experience and credentials to deliver the best care possible. As your therapist I respond personally to every inquiry or call. I try to see each new client within a few days of their initial inquiry either in the office or via tele-therapy. I leave that decision to you.

I know how difficult it is to talk about our emotions and about things that hurt and make you feel depressed, anxious, or lost. I have dedicated most of my life to studying and practicing psychology, first, in my analysis to understand what was hindering my progress and what was causing so much suffering. Second, in my academic formation which is a way to help others find their true desire and fulfillment in their life.
