Do you ever wonder how some people seem to genuinely enjoy life while you may struggle just to make it through the day? Are you feeling overwhelmed or even trapped by your current circumstances? Do you have goals for yourself but struggle to muster up enough motivation just to make it through the work day? Perhaps you are confused with knowing how to best help a loved one who is struggling? What if there was a way to feel like you were in control of your life and goals rather than feeling like your daily responsibilities and stress control you?

With a dynamic team approach, our strength lies our professional diversity which allows us to treat even the most complex set of mental health, substance-use, trauma and life-change issues in a comprehensive and integrative manner. Just as no two individuals are the same, neither are two situations, despite obvious similarities. Paying close attention to individual differences, actually listening and respecting what our clients share with us, and creating unique goals and to meet each client's needs and challenges is what we do best. The most common feedback we hear from our clients is "feeling heard and still respected and loved."

Life is here and happening now and you're right where you need to be.
Counseling involves a willingness to participate and observe in the experience of looking at ourselves in all that we are, both the pained and celebrated parts, the story we like and do not like to see in our lives. There is something in you that said "Yes." Yes to self-awareness, personal and professional development, to a disciplined life, to a liberated life with people. There also means that something in you said "No" to inflicting continual pain, trauma, and hurt on yourself and people.

I have experience working with individuals presenting with a variety of issues and concerns including but not limited to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, divorce, coping/recovery from medical illness, stress, life transitions, parenting issues, and cardiac patients.
If you are experiencing difficulties adapting to the inevitable life changes and transitions that are part of the human experience, it may be the right time to seek the guidance of a psychologist. My overall goal is to help my clients attain balance and a healthier level of functioning through the development of insight, self awareness, coping skills and stress management strategies. By creating a safe and supportive environment for this learning to occur, clients improve their ability to deal with everyday stressors and ultimately increase their overall quality of life.

Through family coaching & therapeutic intervention, for nearly 2 decades I have helped addicts/alcoholics, and distraught family members (especially spouses) walk through what often feels like an impossible journey.
Dealing with a spouse or a child with substance abuse issues can be an absolute nightmare. Everybody has advice; family & friends can tell you how to deal with addiction in your family. If it feels like nobody can give you advice unless they've walked a day in your shoes, you're probably right. Drug and alcohol addiction, completely devastates families, I know this personally and professionally. We believe that if we just say the right thing or do the right thing, we can somehow help our loved one. As a woman who has been there, I have helped many families navigate the complexities of drug and alcohol addiction within the family.

I help with issues that interfere with life such as burnout, anxiety, depression, fear, perfectionism, lack of confidence, self-doubt, grief, trauma history, loneliness, parenting issues, relationship stress, or health challenges.
If you’re here searching through profiles, you might be going through a particularly hard time. Perhaps you are walking through a challenging life experience or you’re feeling unsettled or overwhelmed without an obvious reason. Sometimes we can name exactly what we need support with or want to work on; other times you might have trouble with anxiety symptoms, sleep, low energy, or feeling tearful without knowing why. In either case we deserve relief and to live with more overall ease. Healing isn't just about fixing problems, it's about creating a life that has meaning and joy!

I believe in my heart that every person deserves to live their best life.
An ideal client is anyone who shows up at your door understanding that something in their life is not working the way they want it to and having the desire to change that. I have been working in the substance abuse and mental health field for over a decade and have encountered many people with many different life situations and stories. Each person is unique and I believe that once we identify the core issue, we are well on our way to removing the block and creating the life a client truly desires. I use talk therapy along with EMDR to assist clients in achieving the goals they have set for themselves.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
