Dark thunderstorms are hard to see out of. Especially, when you feel you are alone or worse is feeling lost. When finding your way back to you, adversity does not have to be limiting; it is a resource. Being ready for something different or for things to change is very scary. Except look at all the pain you have already been through. That alone has prepared you for what is next. Is your "to-do" list never-ending, and accomplishments never good enough? Are you overwhelmed by tasks and feel your worth depends on how much you get done? If anxiety is always at your heels, you may be struggling with perfectionism. Negative self-image- constantly comparing yourself to others, or feeling like a burden are some symptoms of perfectionism. These feelings often stem from deep-seated shame. Anxiety shows up in many different forms but usually feels like racing thoughts, racing heart, and restlessness making it hard to unwind. Guilt and shame, especially rooted in trauma, can distort your sense of self and reality.

Working with ages toddler to geriatric throughout my career has been an honor. Over the last six years, I have gained working experience in school settings, community mental health, homeless shelters, substance abuse treatment, and private practice. I work hard to gain essential and extensive training relating to working with individuals who experience complex trauma, neurodivergent diagnoses, parenting skills, dissociative disorders, conduct or defiant behaviors, and severe depression to serve my clients best.
