I am a very direct therapist. I am more like a Sherpa than a yoga instructor. Therapy is work, and we will approach it together with deliberate purpose and conviction. I will treat you with kindness, respect, honesty, and a belief that you have the capacity for change. Change is difficult. But change IS possible. It requires consistent work and a near constant desire to learn a more effective way of being in the world. My direct, pragmatically stoic approach to therapy is based upon the assumption that everyone has an inner strength that can be tapped into and utilized to help build greater Psychological Equanimity & Resilience.

Life is complicated, with many factors that contribute to our personal successes and perceived challenges. I work with you to understand current sources of discomfort and frustration, to reshape systems and situations causing distress. For many, taking the initial step to start therapy is often complicated by personal expectations and self-judgment regarding what they “could” have done differently in the past, or what they “should” be able to change (on their own). If you are finding yourself struggling to make a similar decision, you’re not alone.

Are you struggling with unwanted thoughts, feelings, or ideas? Has anxiety taken over so much of your head that you don’t know what would be left if it fell silent?
