I use humor to lighten the process, along with evidence-based methods in an integrative, client-centered way to support your growth.
Hi, I’m Jessica. Congrats on taking the brave first step towards improving your life! The word 'therapy' can sound intimidating, but let's break it down. It's a personalized journey of self-discovery, designed specifically for you and at your own pace. It’s a non-judgmental, guided exploration of your thoughts, emotions, and values. I work with couples, individuals- teens, and adults facing life's challenges, creating a safe, trusting, collaborative space to spot unhelpful patterns, understand them, and find solutions.

My approach to psychotherapy is personalized, integrative and focuses on tailoring the treatment to your particular circumstances.
There is often not enough time in the day to accomplish our goals and care for ourselves. Responsibilities and commitments can be overwhelming. Raising children, pursuing career advancement, helping aging parents, retirement and coping with losses can leave us emotionally depleted. Such stressors and setbacks can feel even more difficult to manage with the state of affairs in the world. These are challenging times, and working with a skilled psychologist can help you navigate life with success. I am focused on helping you cope with the demands of the modern world through compassion, careful listening and comprehensive psychotherapy.

I am a dedicated Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapist specializing in nervous system education and body-based tools for managing dysregulation.
I recognize the impact of trauma in my client's lives and seek to help them embark on a journey of healing and self-discovery. Many of the clients I support are dealing with the effects of past traumas, which may manifest as emotional distress, physical symptoms, or challenges in daily functioning. You may be seeking support for managing body-based distress and are open to exploring body-based tools for healing outside of cognitive therapy. Many of the modalities I use are based on the understanding that trauma is not only a psychological experience but also a physiological one, involving the body's nervous system.

No two people are alike and as a result, each intervention style and identified objectives will be individualized to your specific needs and presentations. I use the intake sessions to get to know you, and in turn allow you to get to know me. At the beginning, I will ask you about what has brought you in to therapy, what you are hoping to gain from therapy, where you are in your life and what has led to this moment in your life. These questions help lay the foundation to the treatment plan. I use an integrative approach, based on what has founded in research, to work collaboratively with you to create your goals and a plan.

With my integrative therapy approach, an individualized treatment will be tailored based on your needs.
Navigating life's challenges is not a simple task, often times requiring significant mental strength to overcome one's internal and external battles. In essence, the road to success is not linear, rather it consists of bumps, curves, and detours. These obstacles can be intimidating and even serve as a deterrent. Don't allow fear to hinder your progress toward self-fulfillment. Together, we can create a lasting positive change.

My approach is integrative, meaning we will look at your lifestyle as a whole to see what you can do naturally to improve.
You feel worried all the time, stressed and not reaching your full potential. You’re smart, hard-working and capable. But relationships are not perfect. You just want to be happy, successful and at peace. Happiness is an inside job. Our mental health and the quality of our lives require tending. Like beautiful gardens we must pull the weeds regularly. Having an ally, a partner on your side working with you to achieve your goals is indispensable. Nobody does it alone. I will help you examine your thoughts and feelings, clarify personal goals and devise actionable ways to achieve them.

Integrative Therapists

What is integrative therapy?

Integrative therapy is a type of therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the individual client. By merging elements of different treatments, an integrative therapist aims to offer a more flexible approach than those who practice just one type of therapy.

How does integrative therapy work?

Integrative therapy approaches a client’s mental, physical, and emotional health in a holistic way to discover the sources of their unhealthy behavior patterns or other challenges and considers the approach most likely to lead to improvement. Among the techniques an integrative therapist may practice are cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, art or music therapy, psychodynamic therapy, breathwork, family systems therapy, gestalt therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. An integrative therapist regularly evaluates the client’s progress and is prepared to pivot to a different approach if progress stalls.

How long does integrative therapy last?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for integrative therapy; people who find they are making progress typically continue until they feel they’ve addressed the issues that spurred them to seek treatment. New patients should understand that it may take some time for a therapist to land on a treatment approach that best meets their needs, but once they do, they should expect sessions to extend for a number of months, typically including at least 12 sessions.

How effective is integrative therapy?

There are hundreds of types of talk therapy, and research shows that while they vary in form, goals, and frequency, many if not all can produce similarly successful outcomes. But a single approach does not always deliver the greatest, or speediest, benefit, and so even therapists primarily trained in one model will use tools, language, techniques, or exercises from others to shape an effective treatment plan.
