I am a Licensed Psychologist with expertise in Pediatric Neuropsychology and Behavioral Medicine. I work with pediatric patients and young adults with long COVID, TBI/concussions, spinal cord injury, epilepsy, brain tumors, arteriovenous malformation bleeds/strokes, demyelinating diseases, cancer, transplant recipients, general medical conditions and genetic disorders affecting the nervous system. My therapy approach is collaborative, client-centered, trauma informed, and prioritizes the therapeutic relationship. Clients are typically motivated; We work together for change withinternal and/or external events that increase anxiety/fears, stress, panic, and interfere with sleep, relationships, goals, and self care. Clients often want to understand what is happening and why. Additionally, we work to explore practical tools and coping strategies. We also examine ways to process losses and integrate these experiences that continue impact their lives.

When we experience chaos and difficulty in our external worlds, our internal worlds often match the everyday crises we have “learned to live with”. I became a Marriage and Family Therapist because I enjoy processing with individuals and listening to personal journeys to find a resolution. I was a High School performance art major and find this skill set benefical in providing supports through visual cues using various therapeutic approaches and modalities. I specialize in working with children and families in child welfare. I enjoy working with young children and teens as these are challenging developmental years, trauma and distress from systemic and familial patterns of behaviors, coupled with low parenting, coping, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families to create a space for open communication. Kristian received her Bachelor's degree at the University of North Florida followed by her Masters at Webster University. She engages others by building a rapport while also assisting her families to achieve set goals. She works with individuals ages 5-100, families, adolescents, drug addiction and parents who need guidance. Some specialty skills include problem-solving, communication, coping skills, and relaxation exercises for anxiety. Kristian focuses on the improvement, the quality of life of individuals and families by compassionately serving their mental health, addiction, special education, and community support needs.
