I grew up in Florida and graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work. I began my career in a county jail mental health unit, where I became proficient in crisis intervention, assessments, and group therapy. While there, I not only logged needed clinical hours, but also studied for and passed the licensing exam for the State of Florida to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

I take a holistic approach to counseling and focuses not only on my client’s emotional needs, but also integrates the client’s physical health practices, social support, hobbies/ interests, and spirituality. I love being active, being in nature, and I have been an avid surfer in Florida’s Space Coast for over thirty years. I feel balance to life is paramount in maintaining emotional, cognitive, and physical health and I carry this philosophy into my work. I'm adaptable and can see my clients in the office setting or in nature settings as well.

I help people work through childhood issues, trauma, PTSD, anxiety and depression, letting go of the emotional baggage they've been carrying around for years. COUPLE'S COUNSELING & FAMILY THERAPY: Specializing in resolving conflict, healing emotional wounds and restoring relationships. I also treat a variety of conditions related to anxiety and depression, offer life coaching and specialize in working with people of faith. You'll learn valuable communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills and how to fight fair. I encourage assertiveness and promote authenticity and healthy boundaries. We might also explore coping mechanisms, attachment and parenting styles, and love languages. I help my clients better understand their feelings and communicate their needs.

I work exclusively with children aging 18 months to 18 years. I have been treating children in private practice for over 24 years. I treat ADHD, ADD, Anxiety, Asperger's Syndrome, Depression, Grief/Loss due to death, separation/divorce or deployment, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), verbal, physical, sexual abuse, and neglect. I have extensive training and experience in treating children of separating & divorcing parents. I work with divorcing parents and their children in the Collaborative Divorce process.
