Hello, my name is Keith Mattson and I am a Licensed Mental Counselor in the state of Florida. I have provided therapy services in various settings for over 10 years. My specialties include life transitions and adjustment, trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use disorders, and PTSD. I utilize a mindfulness-based, solution focused, and person-centered approach, and incorporate several modalities including CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, amongst others.

Working in many different mental health settings has allowed me to gain experience with clients of many different ages (ranging from children through the elderly), sexes (ranging from male to female, including transgender & non-binary), diagnoses, cultures, religions, etc. I am experienced with faith-based counseling & enjoy bringing spirituality, at the client’s request, into the therapeutic process. Lori has specialized in mood disorders and substance use in teens and young adults since 2016, and has since gained specialization in other addictive and manipulative behaviors such as personality disorders, parasuicidal tendencies, suicidal behaviors and eating disorders. Lori is currently only working with ages 13 and up, and is happy to offer a Christian counseling approach upon request. Special treatment approaches and accommodations will be necessary for those with a specific focus on disordered eating. Parent involvement with minors is required when necessary.

I work with many Postpartum Depression clients whose depression has now manifested into anxiety. Hormones are everywhere and I help women understand why they are feeling overwhelmed as a new mother and how to find solutions to their problems. Sometimes we walk the pregnancy together. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who provides remote Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. I specialize in parent training: dealing with socially inappropriate behaviors, and teaching skill acquisition (speaking) social skills (peer play) or adaptive skills (potty training, bathing, etc.).
