It’s a feeling, no, it's not even a real thing, but it won’t go away. It’s a sensation that happens in your chest or stomach. It’s a signal that lets you know it is about to start. It could be the loop of hearing those negative thoughts. You know what I’m talking about, the thoughts that say you’re so stupid, you’re ugly, you can’t do anything, over and over. Or it could be those memories that are always there and that feeling of hopelessness that keeps popping up again and again. You can call it anxiety, depression, grief, or trauma. It doesn’t matter what you call it; it keeps you stuck and disrupts your life. I can help.

Feel like life's challenges are just too much sometimes? Or does your child struggle with ADHD, behavioral, or self-esteem issues? If you battle depression, anxiety, marital or family issues, behavioral concerns, grief, or other hurdles, I can support you through your journey. Besides my formal training, I've lived through many major life transitions, myself: military family life, the death of a child, marital issues, & job loss and change. I understand the complicated feelings involved. I've navigated these situations and I can help you find your way, too.

Weight Loss is 3-6 sessions.
Hypnosis is a safe tool for achieving personal goals whether you want to stop doing something (smoking, over eating, biting fingernails, feeling anxious, worrying, any unwanted habit) or want to start doing something (eating better, exercising, improve concentration, test scores, even athletic ability). It can be utilized to improve mood, reduce tension and stress, relieve feelings of overwhelm and teach the body to deeply relax. Further, Hypnosis is well documented as an effective treatment for chronic pain and complements medical treatment. Regular practice of hypnotism reduces blood pressure and improves sleep.

Feeling trapped by uncertainty? Relationships not going the way you thought they would? Having trouble getting through your day? There’s hope! Many of us go through “It’s not supposed to be this way” times in life, times when life seems to fall to pieces. As a Christian therapist, seminary-trained & ministry experienced, I weave proven psychological methods with optional ancient Biblical practices (like prayer, meditation, and fasting) to help you become confident in the present and hopeful for the future. And as a Level 2 Gottman therapist, I integrate methods backed by 40 years of research, to help couples reconcile and heal.

Do you ever wonder why you feel the way you do and why certain situations trigger such intense reactions? Maybe you wonder why you view yourself in a certain way and have negative beliefs that just won’t seem to go away. There might be some experiences in your past that are fueling these issues. I often work with people who have experienced trauma such as domestic violence, sexual abuse and physical abuse, but there is a wide range of experiences that we can work on together. Regardless of what is bringing you into therapy, I am looking forward to working with you to move towards a place of healing.

Hey there! I help anxious overthinkers struggling with relationship wounds to heal their inner child and discover self-compassion. You feel like you’re always on high-alert for the next betrayal or abandonment, so you struggle to find peace in your relationships - and with yourself. Your friends might even call you an “empath” because you’re hyper-attuned to the emotions of those around you (little do they know, it can be quite a curse). You've been hurt in the past and you're tired of feeling like it's dictating your future. I get it, and I'm here to help.

Take a deep breath, you're in the right place! Are you feeling unmotivated, lost, hopeless, or alone? Do you struggle with turning off your thoughts/worry? Have you been feeling misunderstood or invalidated by people you love? Maybe you just moved to a new city, started a new job, or ended a relationship. New experiences & rejection are scary! And feeling sad all the time sucks. It can make it challenging to build/maintain relationships, perform at work/school, as well as negatively impact mood, sleep, and eating habits. Wouldn't it be nice if you could learn to overcome these experiences & feelings and start smiling for real again?

Whether the issue is anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, poor coping skills, or phase of life issues, my approach is based in genuine support & kind, honest feedback.
Are you struggling with creating the life you want to live? Do you feel like there is a better version of yourself that you would like to uncover and develop? Are you at a point of transition in your life and would like to explore what you really want rather than what is expected or easy? If any of these questions speak to you then I think we might be a good match therapeutically. I specialize in helping people identify what they want and then support them in moving positively toward that goal. Nothing is more energizing and exciting than helping someone move more fully into who they want to be and the life they want to live.

How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
