We believe in the importance of both Science and Spirituality in our work. We are advocates for both Herbal and Prescription treatment and believe in the use of both Eastern and Western medical systems to treat disease and maintain health. We practice a model of therapy, coaching, and counseling which is collaborative, open and holistic in nature. Our therapeutic relationship should feel warm, safe and be connecting. This model is different than many counseling models which have a less collaborative flavor. In these models typically the therapist is the "expert" in the room and should not be challenged.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois and Florida. My diverse clinical background allows me to work with a wide array of challenges that often bring patients to therapy. My approach to therapy is always grounded in evidenced-based practices. Because every patient is different, one approach does not work the same for everyone. I spend time getting to know my patients and understanding how they see the world, themselves, and others. Breaking unhealthy patterns, improving coping skills, and developing stronger interpersonal skills are a big part of my work with patients.

Hello there, and welcome to my profile. My decision to work in this field was fueled by my observations of my mom's experiences with mental health treatment. As a result, I have strong compassion for people and I approach treatment differently. I am constantly looking for new and effective treatments that can be pleasant and enjoyable. I am a huge animal lover and I believe that animals enrich our lives and trigger our natural compassion for others. This is why I incorporate animals in my practice. There is nothing more uplifting than to be greeted by two wagging tails.
