It's hard to breath and concentrate, especially when you are wondering when the "next ball is going to drop". Family, friends, and colleagues are talking to you, but all you hear are words because you're already many steps ahead of them in thought. You've heard that you just need to be "more present, less anxious". But you don't know how, or even where to begin. It feels as if the weight of the world is on your shoulders. Sometimes you know why you're anxious, other times you have no idea.

We're bombarded by media and societal pressures that make us critical of ourselves and our appearance. It often feels like we're both the bully and the victim in our own minds. I specialize in supporting people dealing with eating disorders, OCD, body image issues, gender dysphoria, trauma, and co-occurring conditions. Having faced my own battles with body image, I understand the journey of learning to love oneself. This personal experience has equipped me to assist others in their own path to self-worth.

My clinical focus is LGBT+ issues, trauma & PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, and life changes & adjustments. I came into therapy later in life and graduated from the University of South Florida with a BA in Women and Gender Studies. I am strongly feminist aligned, anti-racist in my work values and activism. I have an unrelenting desire to support people and be by their side as they do this deeply challenging work. I bring an eclectic mix of humanistic, strength based, rogerian, trauma-informed, and experiential therapies to meet her clients where they are and create a safe place for them to heal and make sense of their lives.

I have lived in North Florida for the past 25 years. My wife and I became 'empty-nesters' this year and enjoy getting together with our children and extended blended family.
