My therapeutic approach is derived from a combination of cognitive-behavioral and systemic techniques. Each interaction is addressed in relation to habitual patterns that may have become stuck or conflictual, and a systemic therapist makes interventions to help the client (s) consciously make healthier choices to create more intimacy or functionality in these relationships. I have been in private practice for over 10 years, helping couples and individuals with their relationship conflicts and psychiatric challenges as well as their desires for improved communication and intimacy.

My ideal client is one that is looking to aligning with their strengths to heal their past or present concerns. I pride myself on developing a comfortable, safe environment for you to explore, accept and grow in. No judgement and at your pace. I have worked with kids and teens for over 30 years as well as adults and seniors. I enjoy helping people with any of life's struggles.

Kristian received her Bachelor's degree at the University of North Florida followed by her Masters at Webster University. She engages others by building a rapport while also assisting her families to achieve set goals. She works with individuals ages 5-100, families, adolescents, drug addiction and parents who need guidance. Some specialty skills include problem-solving, communication, coping skills, and relaxation exercises for anxiety. Kristian focuses on the improvement, the quality of life of individuals and families by compassionately serving their mental health, addiction, special education, and community support needs.

Thank you for visiting my profile. I have been a social worker for nearly 35 years, practicing in Florida for the last 25 years. I have worked extensively in medical settings, including hospitals and clinics, and my practice has been largely focused upon assisting families with young children as well as expectant parents. I am very familiar with and I try to educate my clients on positive parenting techniques. Our levels of care include prenatal preparation, traditional weekly outpatient visits and Florida's first Mother/Baby Partial Hospitalization Program (an intensive, outpatient day program).
