Caige graduated with a bachelors degree from Flagler College in St. Augustine FL, majoring in Psychology and Criminology. He then obtained his Masters degree from the University of North Florida in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He also holds a certification in Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT-C). During his AAT-C training he was exposed to incorporating dogs and horses into therapeutic partnerships.

I use Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) to help you identify your goals, and develop a plan to achieve those goals. SFBT requires you to actively work towards solutions. It helps you to identify what you do well and then encourages you to use your strengths to reach those goals. Desire is the mainspring of action. You will learn how to match your desire, belief, and expectancy for best results. Harness the power of attention, focus, and concentration for healing; you will learn how to do this persistently and consistently.

We provide play therapy at 3 locations in Jacksonville: Neptune Beach, Riverside, and Ponte Vedra Beach. Children have a limited verbal ability to communicate how they think and feel about the world. Young children (ages 2-12) most naturally process and share emotionally significant experiences though play. Play is their language. At The Healing Playroom, Registered Play Therapists use the child's most natural form of communication, instead of asking them to use ours. Play Therapy is a respectful, effective, and developmentally appropriate way to help young children who are experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral problems.

I have been in Private Practice since 1999. My practice focuses on clients struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder,Dissociative Identity Disorder, Narcissism and other personality conflicts. I also treat Depression and PTSD. I work with Substance Use disorders, but from a non-12 step approach called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I work with the local courts, including mental health and substance abuse evaluations.
