Growing up in Savannah, Georgia with a single mother. Daryel Scott’s curiosity when it came to education and mental health grew. And today, he has over 20 years of experience working as an educator and counselor. Daryel is passionate about helping individuals who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, mood swings, addiction, dual-diagnosis, learning/behavioral disorders, developmental disabilities and Autism. He does individual, family and group counseling using evidence base therapeutic interventions tailoring it to each individual client to help reach their goals.

My professional goal is to help individuals and families navigate the many challenges we are faced with as we move through life. Let's together figure out how you can be the person you want to be and improve you relationships. If your child has challenges, let's identify those, and find solutions and recommendations. As our parents age it is important they get proper diagnoses and recommendations. After a stroke, traumatic brain injury, or other disability, it is important to receive education and direction to the best resources, as well as help adjusting. Rev. Nick is the Founder and Director of New Hope Counseling Center. He has been a practicing psychotherapist in the Space Coast since 1990. He received his Master of Arts in Counseling from Rollins College. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. He is a Certified LMHC Supervisor with the State of Florida and a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

My interest in evaluations, especially psychoeducational evaluations, stemmed from the time I was a grad student. I evaluated a child with suspected learning disabilities and provided feedback to his parents. To my surprise, the parents brought their son back to the clinic for a re-evaluation by the time I was an intern. The difference in how they presented between the first and second intakes was night and day. As evaluators, we almost never receive feedback about how our evaluations positively impacted our clients’ lives. In the rare events we do hear back from them, it fills us with great satisfaction. This is what motivates me.

Additionally, we provide forensic assessments for VA disability, social security disability, worker's compensation, criminal matters, and employment related concerns. I am a licensed psychotherapist with a doctorates in philosophy, who specializes in treating individuals experiencing a wide-range of difficulties. My passionate, friendly and patient approach is aimed at developing a individualized therapeutic relationship, with my clients that will inspire courage to navigate life's challenges. With an understanding and appreciation for the uniqueness of each individual, I recognize that no single approach is right for everyone and strive to integrate various therapeutic orientations and interventions.

As a neuropsychologist, Dr. Ashley Tanton specializes in how disease and trauma affect the brain, and the relationships between the brain and cognition, behavior, personality, and mood. She conducts comprehensive assessments with patients ages 6 and older who have experienced any of the following: Stroke, head injury (e.g., concussion), brain tumor or brain bleed, epilepsy, dementia/Alzheimer's Disease, neurological disorders (e.g., multiple sclerosis), cancer, neuromuscular or movement disorders (e.g., Parkinson's Disease), attentional and/or behavioral problems (e.g., ADHD), autism, and intellectual and learning disabilities.
