My approach to therapy centers your personal and cultural values. If you feel held back from living the life you want because your anxious thoughts have too much power or take up too much time, I’d like to help. Sometimes these thoughts may be so obsessive yet difficult to share with anyone because they don't align with who you are - the very fact that they cross your mind can feel scary, weird, or embarrassing. I will help you confront and overcome them while using humor and being real with you in the process. Schedule a free intro call to get a sense of whether I'm the right therapist for you!

Hi there, I'm Michal! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My approach to therapy is strength-based. I believe that each client is the expert on their life and has the innate ability to heal themselves. I am here to support and help the client re-discover their natural and inherited inner wisdom. The client is never the problem, it is the environment and the conditioned or unhealthy defense mechanism that we learned along the way. Through reflection, analysis, and hands-on application of therapy, I have helped many clients develop new coping skills, insights, and capacity to resolve life challenges.

Welcome and congratulations on considering couples therapy! I primarily work with couples who are highly motivated, and ready to actively work on their relationship. Many of the couples I work with are stressed, struggle with communicating, and may even be close to ending their relationship. I also work with couples who are interested in enhancing an already stable relationship. The couples I work with are seeking hands-on direction, support, and tools to improve their communication and connection.

I am passionate about providing therapy for children, families, and adults who have experienced trauma, including abuse, neglect, sexual assault, and domestic violence. The clients who come to see me are often feeling angry, aggressive, depressed, or anxious. Parents who seek treatment for their children express feeling confused and frustrated by their child's behaviors, and don't know how to help. Adults who have experienced violent, controlling relationships with their partners can feel hopeless, worthless, and alone. When someone has experienced scary, overwhelming things, they can feel stuck and unsure how to move forward.

Welcome! Glad you are here. Everyone comes to therapy for different reasons, but each of us needs a safe and non-judgmental place to begin that journey. I have a strength-based approach to therapy and believe in meeting clients where they are mentally and emotionally on any given day. I strive to help clients leave session feeling stronger and more secure in themselves than they did before coming into session. I am currently welcoming new clients who identify as Queer and Trans (LGBTQIA+) and their loved ones.

Do you feel crazy around food? Are you critical of your body? Has movement lost its joy? If so, you're in the right place. I help clients unpack and heal their relationships with food and body. It’s possible (and easier than you think) to eat what you want, when you want it, and accept your body for what it is. We'll work together to find your freedom.

Welcome. Many of my clients have experienced pain, disconnection, inconsistent routines, a low sense of self, or live with complicated big/deep feelings. They struggle with perfectionism. They have a hard time letting others in. They had unsafe, harmful, or invalidating experiences. It has stayed with them. They struggle to connect to their emotional world. Some tend to overextend themselves, ignore their needs, and feel wrong for putting themselves first. Some learned to tough things out, suppress, and hold it all in. Some feel lost and in the dark. They wonder how to process, understand, and heal, and have deeper connections.
