I have also had the pleasure of working with professional athletes in the NBA, NFL, MLB, and U.S. and International Olympic teams. I believe crisis is part of living.How each of us survives and potentially grows from our times of life crisis, emotional trauma or injury , will shape who we are and how we approach our life path.Prior to beginning private practice, I spent 35 years as clinical supervisor and director of the Alachua County Crisis Center, I counseled individuals, couples and families as they struggled on their life journeys... Dealing with relationship issues, loss of loved ones, facing traumatic pasts and uncertain futures have often led to feelings of despair, anxiety , hopelessness ,depression and a sense of isolation and disconnection.

All CDS Family and Behavioral Health services are FREE of cost to families and youth. CDS provides free non-residential prevention counseling services and short-term residential stays for youth ages 6-17 (Non-residential) and 10-17 (residential) and their families. One of the main goals of our programs is prevention. To this, we try to address the problematic behaviors before they are beyond the control of the youth or the parent. Non Residential provides 12 weeks of free counseling and/or Case management for ungovernable or at risk youth while also working with the family system.
