I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I offer counseling to individuals and families struggling with self-esteem, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and different life stressors. I am fully committed to my clients' success and growth. It is my belief that the therapeutic relationship is a crucial element to therapy. I strive to facilitate an environment that is trusting, inviting, safe, nonjudgmental, and professional. I focus on serving, adults, adolescents, and families through individual and family therapy. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults who may be struggling with various transitional, interpersonal, and emotional challenges.

Somer Leigh Banjanin is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida who has been practicing since 2018. She graduated from Liberty University with her Master's in Professional Counseling and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Community Care and Counseling "“ Traumatology from Liberty University. Her dissertation focuses on human trafficking. Somer (that's "Somer" like the season) understands the pain of trauma. Years on the couch helped her to understand the impact trauma has on feelings and emotions, relationships, and everyday functioning.

Counseling is all about having a space to explore yourself, your values, and your identity without fear of judgement or expectations. My therapeutic approach is based on viewing my clients as the experts on their own lives and accompanying them on their journey to wellness non-judgmentally and with competence. I believe in using an integrated approach, as every client is different, and it is important to meet clients where they are at. My goals as a counselor include assisting clients in reaching their full potential by giving clients a safe space so they may engage in self- discovery and growth.
