I am Dr. Andre. I have 18+ years of providing priestly ministry and counseling to children, adolescents, women, men, couples, and elders, (5 years of healing ministry as Chaplain at Baptist Hospital). I speak English, French, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, and Spanish. I hold a bachelor's degree in theology; master's degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling/Marriage & Family Therapy; and a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy. I offer individual, family, premarital, Christian/Spiritual and Grief counseling (130-$150/session).

My ideal client is someone who wants to make positive changes. They are motivated to work with the therapist to identify problems, are willing to consider new approaches, and are willing to believe that they can solve problems, enrich relationships, and improve their lives. People often come to therapy when old ways of problem solving are not working for them when faced with a current problem. I work closely with clients facing challenges including but not limited to: Anxiety, Depression, Postpartum Depression, Relationships, Parenting, Medical Issues, Caregivers, as well as ADHD (school/work related).

Alex passionately holds the belief that life is too short not to be the person you want to be. He does his best to give the clients he works with the tools they need to live happy, productive lives. Previously, Mr. Kaplan was the Outpatient Director for a local non-profit specializing in outpatient substance abuse and mental health. Alex is a graduate of the University of Florida and has a Masters Degree from Barry University. Nothing gives him more satisfaction than seeing a client leave his office feeling even just a little bit better about themselves.
