I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I have top training from The Beck Institute using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
One of the major problems one can have is expecting perfection. What follows is loss of confidence, loss of focus, and later just giving up. I work with kids, teens and adults whom have the same issues of freezing up, worrying about what others think and having so much pressure they no longer enjoy their sport. It's because you lose focus and worry to much about making a mistake or embarrassing oneself or letting others down. If you have been feeling like your performance and motivation has declined then your mental game is likely in need of change.

My specialties are family or relationship therapy, expressive arts therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
I have been practicing as a therapist in Tampa Bay for over 20 years. I view each person as unique and the specific therapeutic technique chosen for the person depends upon the type problem presented and the specific needs. In the first session, problems are assessed and identified and goals are established and a specific plan to meet the goals is developed. My task as therapist is to teach the skills and knowledge needed so that my clients have the skills to be their "own therapists" when therapy is completed.

I mostly utilize motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy( CBT), Solution Focus Brief Therapy(SFBT), and psychoeducation, but I also implement more therapy.
Give yourself praise for making it this far! You might be debating about this decision or thinking to yourself if “ this is the right time.” I can assure you that “THIS IS THE RIGHT TIME!” I believe that therapy is a team effort that allows the therapist and the client to work together to identify the underlining problem. Therapy is a safe place for individuals to analyze communication, hurt, pain, trauma, and irrational thoughts, without being judged!!! Through therapeutic interventions, we will examine and review ways to better yourself and become a better version of yourself. I am here to listen, educate, and provide feedback.
