Even though I utilize many different modalities of treatment, such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Family Systems Theory, each intervention is personalized to the needs of each individual.

I am many things but professionally, a licensed marriage and family therapist, hypnotherapist and yoga instructor. I help individuals, couples and families cope with and heal from stress, anxiety, depression, family conflict, codependency, trauma, PTSD, life transtions etc. I received my Bachelors from Florida State University in 2011 and my Masters degree from NOVA Southeastern University in 2013. I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2020 and have since become certified in Yin and trauma-informed yoga.

Ray Possen is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern and Certified Trauma Professional. Ray is owner of Open Minds Psychotherapy LLC and works in a residential treatment center in the Palm Beach area. Ray utilizes various treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and client centered approaches that foster and encourage internal change and development of coping mechanisms to create lasting growth in life.

Advanced Recovery is for individuals who have completed inpatient or outpatient treatment for substance abuse or for those in sustained recovery who are facing current issues beyond what can be addressed in their support community. Individual therapy addresses ongoing recovery issues, relapse prevention, relationships, self-esteem and resilience, refining coping strategies, and childhood and family of origin issues. Advanced Recovery Services also include partner and family counseling.

Chelsea has worked with populations across a wide range of settings, but specializes in working with young adults ages 18+, focusing on attachment, life transitions and family of origin issues. Her empathy and compassion creates a welcoming space for growth and allows for each individual to feel heard, understood, and valued. Chelsea focuses on promoting growth and change through an eclectic therapeutic approach, using CBT, family systems, DBT, attachment-focused, psychodynamic, and client-centered therapies. Chelsea also offers EMDR to address attachment and complex traumas.

Dr. Alexis is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist originally from the Bronx, NY. She received her Masters from Long Island University in 2009 and her doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2019 in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Alison worked with a multitude of presenting issues, such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, childhood related issues, behavioral issues, family conflict, stress and other presenting symptoms. She is certified in EMDR.

Rather than adopting a “one size fits all“ model, my approach is flexible and responsive to the changing needs of my clients. The therapy process is active both on your part and mine. Different approaches may be needed at different times in the process. Research on effective clinical practices and my 35+ years of clinical experience will help us decide together on what may be helpful to you.
