Dr. Shawn Stanton is a licensed Psychotherapist who knows getting to the root of the issue is usually the best option. Though some clients are not yet equipped to deal with the emotions that go along with the root issue. Dr. Stanton uses research driven candid, direct, and genuine conversation to ease the client into a painless and successful treatment process that not only explores the root issue but also enhances the clients inherent sense of resilience. I am a resident of Palm Beach County where I live with my wife and two children. In my spare time you can find me at the beach, spending time with family or enjoying soccer. I am originally from Lima-Peru and moved to Connecticut as a teenager to reunite with my father and siblings. I attended college in Connecticut and graduated with a duo major in Psychology and Philosophy from Sacred Heart University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University in 2010. I have extensive work experience in different hospitals, community agencies, youth, adolescent and family recovery and treatment centers.

I am originally from Long Island and Queens but now reside in Florida after my father, like most of us, decided he couldn’t go through one more snowstorm. My areas of special interest are anxiety, medical concerns, life transitions, grief and depression. I feel compassion, knowledge, coping skills and new actions often result in successful outcomes. My belief is that we are all in the same boat, as evident by an encounter with Dr. Anna Freud, granddaughter of the famous Dr. Sigmund Freud. She was set to be part of a panel at a conference. I was in the bathroom when she came in and advised me, a complete stranger of her nervousness!

I credit my arts-focused education for the creative therapeutic approach I bring to my position and to each client. I began my career in the mental and behavioral health field as an art therapist, where I first experienced the transformative power that a compassionate, client-centered, humanistic therapeutic relationship would have on my clients. I have worked as an art therapist and primary clinical therapist in several clinical and hospital settings in NJ, PA, and FL.

I am a fully Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for the state of Florida and graduated with my masters in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2014. I have 8yrs experience working in the healthcare field and have since worked in various settings to include child welfare, community based health, private practice, hospital and school settings.

Dr. Pamela Baker, Licensed Psychologist, earned her Bachelors Degree (B.A.) from the University of Miami with a major in Psychology and double minor in Sociology and French. She went on to earn her Masters Degree (M.S) and Doctoral Degree (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Baker currently works with a diverse population of individuals including children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Baker’s main theoretical orientation is based on Carl Roger’s Humanistic Person-Centered counseling approach.
