I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with 3 years of clinical mental health experience. I graduated from Troy University with a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and hold a Bachelors degree in Criminology from Florida State University. I have a wide range of experience with adolescents and adults including time spent as an inpatient therapist as well as an outpatient therapist in the community mental health setting and in private practice.

My name is Shannon Schell, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I have experience working with a variety of emotional and behavioral issues that span from therapy for depression and anxiety to relationship issues and couples counseling and much more. Navigating through life can be difficult, and at times appear inconceivable. When the human condition propels us into the stressors of the world, it can feel like our lives are unraveling. While it is normal to experience intermittent levels of stress now and then, complicated stress can lead to dysfunction. It can create boundaries to growth and impact our relationships, occupations, and perspectives. Let’s not stay there.

I want to extend a non-judgmental approach to every person I work with. I have been working with adults and adolescents for years and feel confident that I can work with a multitude of personality types. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand some of the difficulties we face when seeking counseling services. I want to extend myself to everyone identifying under this umbrella. I am experienced working with active duty military who have experienced trauma, either prior to or during their service. I am currently providing services for Restoring Hope Alliance, which is a local non-profit program.
