My life’s greatest passion is to study the complexity of the mind/consciousness and human suffering in order to find better ways to alleviate the pain that so many suffer. However, the variety and extent of pain that many people experience on a daily basis is, very often, far beyond the scope of a human psyche to handle. Over 8 years in the fields of trauma therapy and recovery, I am offering my clients my knowledge and experience in handling the pain of trauma of any kind, be it of depression or anxiety, PTSD/CPTSD, family or relationship issues, or abuse and neglect. Trauma has many faces, but healing has one - you happy face.

In-person in Miami Beach. Online in the rest of Florida and Kansas. Clients describe me as authentic, straightforward, empathetic, nurturing, and easy to talk to. Do you feel like you “know” what you “should” do to improve your life, but just can’t seem to be able to do it? Do you feel overwhelmed with anxiety and stress, unable to relax and focus? Do you feel like your past experiences prevent you from moving forward and enjoying life? If so, therapy may be a good option. While it can be daunting to start the process and seek help, it can truly be life-changing. Finding the right therapist is very important in this journey.

I have a passion for connecting with clients to help them overcome their struggles and create renewed energy for life. To be human is to experience loss, difficulty, and heartache. But there is hope. As humans we also have the capacity to manage our problems, heal, and change our lives for the better. Perhaps you recently went through a break-up, job loss, or the death of a loved one. Or perhaps you just feel stuck in life and unable to break free from negative thoughts or unwanted emotions. You may be looking for a new life purpose or to change your story. Regardless of what you are going through, I believe therapy can help.

Experiencing personal transformations can bring both liberation and joy, but they can also cause upheaval and stress. Every day, we go through a series of small revolutions, realizations, adjustments, and changes that expand and contract our beings. As a mental health practitioner, my goal is to create a safe and trusting environment where individuals can release, process, unpack, and unwind. Essentially, it's a space to breathe. It's crucial to learn to show yourself kindness and compassion, even if you struggle with feeling deserving of it. You truly deserve the best life has in store for you. Today is the day to embrace it!

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
