Trauma has a way of rendering us powerless by making us believe lies about ourselves. We begin to live small and feel as if we have no voice. Trauma is not just in the mind, but also accumulated in the body. My desire is to help clients not only heal their hearts, but restore health and healing to the mind and body as well. I am a licensed master social worker with a masters in pastoral counseling. I am also certified in trauma sensitive yoga and health coaching. I have a diploma in nutrition. I believe all three aspects of a person should be integrated for optimal healing to take place - body, soul, spirit.
I offer a client centered therapy approach focusing on the needs of the client. I use schema therapy, CBT, TF-CBT, mindfulness therapies and a range of somatic (body) therapies to help process trauma. In this processing of trauma the client is able to create a new and refreshing narrative for their life.
