Contacting a therapist is often a difficult first step. A compassionate, judgment-free and supportive environment is what you will find in my practice. Many clients are experiencing additional challenges and stressors these last few years leading to increased anxiety and depression, and finding successful coping strategies is critical. I work with adults, children, adolescents, college students, and their families who are dealing with anxiety, depression and grief. While working in schools, I experienced firsthand the extra challenges and frustration that students and teachers face each day and I bring this knowledge to my practice.
Throughout my 25 years as a school counselor and decades of working with children, individuals and families, my goal has always been to help clients face their challenges, make decisions and find solutions that meet their own personal needs. I work collaboratively with clients, building on their strengths and helping achieve their personal goals.
A positive therapist/client relationship is essential to achieve therapeutic success.
