I integrate the Enneagram, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic work to help clients explore their inner world and create lasting change that aligns with their core values.
Have you ever felt stuck, cycling through the same conflicts with your partner, or overwhelmed by the challenges of early parenthood? Have you struggled to support your partner while navigating grief around a pregnancy loss, infertility, or a parent's death? As someone who's walked through many of these experiences personally, I get how overwhelming and lonely it can be. Research shows that having the right support can be a key factor in navigating life’s hardest seasons, and I’m here to walk with you as you find your way through.

I am passionate about working with individuals, partners, and families that have been impacted by substance use and alcoholism. These experiences have a way of breaking us down causing disconnection and hopelessness. I believe psychoeducation, connection, and support can build a pathway to recovery that is sustainable and provides a foundation for a life worth living. Research shows us that the more support and connection an individual or family has, the more likely they are to overcome challenges. My goal is to help guide, support, and teach you skills that will help you or your loved one live without alcohol or other drugs.

I have been an attachment-informed parenting coach for the last 12 years, and I have education and experience in family-based interventions.
Healing begins when we learn to understand ourselves. I help adults, children, adolescents and families shine a compassionate light on their thoughts, feelings, and patterns of relating to find new possibilities beyond the habitual survival strategies that have helped you to defend against stress and trauma. Therapy can give you the tools and awareness to make the changes that you want to make while you learn to experience a greater sense of safety and resilience, recover from difficult experiences, find more acceptance, get your needs met with more clarity, balance connection with boundaries, and live life with greater meaning.

Family Therapy

What do family therapists do?

A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?

Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?

You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?

Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
