I specialize in clients seeking healing from narcissistic family systems, middle-age-related wellbeing, existential and spiritual crises/inquiry, shame, complex trauma, grief, general anxiety, and depression.
Currently accepting individuals for telehealth. My approach to therapy is wholehearted and views clients contextually, recognizing people as interconnected with and influenced by everything from biology and belief to society and the natural environment. I use a bio-psycho-social-spiritual lens to understand my clients holistically. Rather than highlighting what is wrong, I seek to understand what needs may not be met and collaborate with clients on meeting those needs. This curious approach sparks inspiration, creativity, and openness and encourages a client’s deep and vast wisdom to shape the therapy process.

Out of the office I enjoy baking, gardening, hiking, camping, and spending time with my family.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by persistent thoughts, unhelpful behaviors, or difficult emotions? Maybe what you once felt called to feels so challenging it no longer brings you joy. I am glad you are here. Choosing the ‘right’ counselor can be a challenging task. So let me tell you a bit about myself. I believe that experiences shape our identities, thoughts, and behaviors. This is why it can be so helpful to have an empathetic, safe space to express yourself and tell your story. You are the expert in your own life and with the help of counseling, we can improve your skills and recognize ineffective patterns.

Life is both beautiful and broken at times. You deserve to live full, free, and whole. So often we unintentionally get stuck in patterns we do not understand that affect our view of who we are and our relationships with the people we love the most. I believe we are wired for connection--both broken and restored in the context of relationships. Together we will work toward a healing story with new directions. I have special interests and experience in couples therapy, military family life, betrayal trauma, anxiety, grief, and spiritual hurts and questions.

While learning and practicing to balance the 7Fs of family, fun, focus, friends, fitness, finance and faith.
Welcome! All of us come to a time in our lives where we want to talk to someone. In a safe place to process our thoughts and feelings, while using self-compassion and nonjudgment. To come to a deeper understanding of our behaviors, emotions, and ideas, or what the root may be. We then develop our sense of clarity and pleasures in life. We cooperatively define the direction of your counseling session and goals. We are all unique in our humanity, as our situations and experiences are all different yet the same. And at the beginning of each day, we can all conclude "I am enough".

Family Therapy
What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.
How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.
How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.
Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
